August 1st... I saddled Journey up late at night and picked up the flag. Practiced a reining pattern, to try out our neck reining skills and any issues we may have with the flag.
Journ doesn't pay any mind to the flag, but still needs work on the neck reining. She guides pretty decent, but still falls apart occasionally and is getting nervous in her stops, throwing her shoulder out. So I had to set the flag down and go back two handed and fix our stops. I also took the time to re-enforce the neck reining. She seems to be catching on.
